Of course you can post anything that you want on social media. It is your account and your page, after all. However, if you break the terms of service of Instagram, you could find yourself in hot water with those posts. You can buy followers and otherwise get them on your account but they won’t stay long if you aren’t posting the right things. Most people don’t take the time to read the terms of service, so to help you out, take a look at a few things that shouldn’t be posted on your IG account at any time.
Nudity has no place on Instagram or other social media sites. I learned this the hard way so don’t follow in my footsteps. While it is perfectly fine to post semi-nude shots, you should avoid posting anything that shows genitalia. Furthermore, it is important to keep the age and interests of your audience in mind when posting to determine if it is appropriate for them to see.
Personal information isn’t to be posted on social media. Not only does it put your safety at risk, it could also cause you to become the victim of a scam of some sort. Avoid posting details like our full name, birthdate, telephone number, and other sensitive information that a scammer could use to their advantage. Remember, you don’t know who really sits behind that computer screen. Treat them like the strangers they are.
There is enough hate going around off of social media to bring it to this platform. Yet, so many violate the rules and bring hate speech to their accounts. If you do this, you risk losing followers and your IG account. Smile and avoid hate speech, memes, Gifs, etc. at all costs.
Pics of the Kids
You want to show off the kids and that is what social media is made for. But, make sure that you limit the audience when posting pictures of the kids and other personal details so it doesn’t get in the wrong hands. You have the option to limit all of your posts to a specific audience so you get to show off the bundles of joy without compromising your safety as result.
Avoid a home invasion or burglary by leaving out the details of your vacay from social media. You may want to brag and tell everyone that you are headed out, but in doing so it could case your home to become the victim of such an intrusion. No one wants to come back home to learn their home has been broken into. It took a long time to get the things that you have now. Don’t take that type of risk and don’t post the details on social media
Social media is fun for people of all ages who like to connect and share with others. After learning how to grow Instagram followers and there are many followers on your account, you’ll have the full excitement that social media offers. Don’t post the items mentioned above and your time on Instagram is far better!
